RapidTradeView
What is different here
For people who use Yahoo Finance, TradingView, Finviz, StockTwits or Seeking Alpha and are looking for something simpler or more transparent. Plain list of what you get, what you do not, and how it compares with each tool. Nothing on this page is investment advice.
What you get
- One screen per US stock or ETF: live price and chart, technical read, analyst consensus, news sentiment, Reddit and StockTwits buzz, and the company’s Congress and insider filings.
- Three daily picks, graded in public: every trading day a rules-based screen of about 3,000 tickers publishes a ranked list; five trading days later each pick is scored against SPY and stays on the scoreboard, wins and losses alike.
- Congress and insider trades by person: House and Senate periodic transaction reports and SEC Form 4 filings, with amounts, dates and disclosure lag, plus a page for every filer.
- Earnings today with consensus and results as they land, and stocks by sector and industry.
- A portfolio with manually entered transactions and extended-hours quotes (Google sign-in), and an Android app.
- Free. No paid tier, no upsell. Research pages need no account; guests get ten ticker searches a day before sign-in.
What we do not do
- Advanced charting: no drawing tools, indicator library, custom timeframes or chart alerts.
- Price alerts, watchlist notifications by email, or brokerage linking and trading.
- Options, futures, crypto or forex. US stocks and ETFs only.
- A community: no posting, following or comments.
- Guaranteed real-time data. Quotes and filings can be delayed; when a source is down the page says so instead of guessing.
- Advice. The picks are ideas to research with a public record, not recommendations.
Coming from Yahoo Finance
Yahoo Finance is for quotes, news and portfolio tracking, with a paid tier.
- Same here
- Quotes and headlines per ticker, and a portfolio with extended-hours quotes and manually entered transactions.
- Different here
- Every ticker also shows Reddit and StockTwits buzz, analyst consensus, and the Congress and insider filings for that company on the same screen. Three daily picks are graded against SPY in public.
- Keep Yahoo Finance for
- Their breadth: screeners, premium research and brokerage-linked portfolios are not here.
Coming from TradingView
TradingView is for charting, with indicators, drawing tools, community scripts and paid plans.
- Same here
- A price chart per ticker with the common ranges.
- Different here
- Research, not charting: one screen that combines price, sentiment, analysts, news and insider filings, plus the graded picks record.
- Keep TradingView for
- Advanced charting. Our chart is a simple line and candle view; no drawing tools, indicators library or alerts.
Coming from Finviz
Finviz is for screening and market maps, with a paid tier.
- Same here
- Browsing by sector and industry, and a ranked list of picks each trading day.
- Different here
- The picks carry their evidence and a public five-day grade against SPY; Congress and insider trades are listed by person, not only by ticker.
- Keep Finviz for
- A custom screener. We do not have one.
Coming from StockTwits
StockTwits is for a social feed of posts by cashtag.
- Same here
- StockTwits sentiment and Reddit mention counts appear on every ticker page.
- Different here
- The social read sits next to price, analysts, news sentiment and filings, so a loud ticker can be checked against the rest in one place.
- Keep StockTwits for
- Posting and following people. There is no community feed here.
Coming from Seeking Alpha
Seeking Alpha is for long-form analysis articles and ratings, with a paid tier.
- Same here
- Analyst consensus and news headlines per ticker.
- Different here
- No articles. Instead, a rules-based daily pick list whose every result stays on a public scoreboard, and per-person filing pages for members of Congress and insiders.
- Keep Seeking Alpha for
- Written research and author ratings.
How we grade ourselves
Each pick is scored on the close five trading days after it ships, against SPY over the same days. The scoreboard shows the count that beat SPY, the count that did not, and the average excess return, with the sample size next to every number. At a few hundred picks that record describes what happened; it is not proof of an edge, and it is published so you can check either way.
